I went through something similar th...Great article. I went through something similar this spring. While I wasn't discouraged at any lack of hard evidence (I suck at deer hunting too so I am used to it), I was losing direction because so many people in the field feel they have to lean to one extreme or another.<br /><br />Lately I realized that I am doing this because it makes me THINK. Even looking at orbs has value because it becomes a challenge to educate others (and myself) on the real science of digital photography without just saying "dust".<br /><br />So I returned to field work (gently as to not overwhelm myself) with the goal of LEARNING more from other teams, people, locations, and hopefully the "other side".<br /><br />There are a LOT of sincere people out in the field TRYING to do it right.
